The Antidrug Campaign Tries a New Message

With stoner holiday 4/20 rapidly approaching, the bad guys are stepping up their game with increasingly illogical arguments. My favorite part?

... [R]esearch suggested the ads did not work. A federally funded study released in 2006 [...] found that antidrug ads by the ONDCP during that time had no effect on the kids who'd seen them, and in some cases actually made them more interested in marijuana.

"Our best guess is that the more kids saw lots of ads saying, 'Don't use drugs,' the more they came to believe that all their peers were using drugs," says Robert Hornik, one of the study's lead investigators.
I knew I wasn't the only person who saw the girl melting into the couch and thought to myself "Awesome."
